Ways To Donate

Our goal is to protect the Depot and assist the extraordinary artistic and historical organizations housed there by providing them with programmatic funding. In 2020 alone, we provided $224,998 in Programmatic Grants, as well as an additional $141,000 in Operational Grants to our grantees to assist them through pandemic-related closures.

The Depot Foundation was established in March 1979 due to the fund-raising efforts of Elizabeth & John Adams as a charitable, non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Minnesota with a purpose to receive, invest and disburse funds on behalf of the arts and heritage of the Duluth community and greater surrounding area.

The Depot Foundation Welcomes Jason Young

"The Depot Foundation, through its donors, has always been among our strongest supporters. Because of funding from the Depot Foundation we have new exhibits, restored equipment, better interpretation and a much richer guest/visitor experience."

The Depot Foundation’s generosity has allowed the DSSO to connect with Twin Ports audiences in new and exciting ways. From supporting performances for students to the innovative Bridge Sessions projects bringing together DSSO musicians and popular ensembles, the Foundation has been there every step of the way to celebrate performances for out community inside the Depot’s many spaces. We are thrilled to have a partner such as the Foundation in this community.
